After 5 months of 30mg per day I went on holiday & stupidly, forgot 2 take my medication.
A bereavement in the family occured a week or so later, I therefore, didnt take my ‘weepy episodes’ too seriously. Two weeks later, I suffered from severe flu-like symptoms, headache, sore throat, aching body, etc. BUT THE WORST WAS YET 2 COME.
A day or two later I woke up feelin pure dread. As the day progressed, I felt very agitated, depressed and increasingly suicidal. I was so confused & felt PURE RAGE – i was so scared. I even said good-bye to my 3 year old daughter.
The darkness in my soul took over and I held a pair of scissors to my chest – all i had to do was fall & let my body weight pierce my heart.
The phone rang, and 4 that moment I was back in the real world again. A voice, a friend, a life-line. PLEASE, DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG – IT ERASES YOUR PERSONALITY.
I was so lucky 2 survive this. I almost feel guilty because my life has become so enjoyable and so easy.
